In a stray-dog refuge in Agadir, Morocco, more than 750 animals find help and protection while awaiting adoption. Each day is the same as the last – mealtime provides the only notable excitement. Swiss-Morroccan writer and director Halima Ouardiri observes the rhythm of the animals’ lives in this award-winning short documentary. She parallels their suspended existence to the far more tragic waiting that is endured these days by millions of human beings in search of a new home.
