School Screenings: Inventing Tomorrow
On the occasion of International Education Week, Exile Room, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Athens and the Athens Science Festival, are organising a series of nationwide school screenings of the award-winning environmental documentary “Inventing Tomorrow” (2018), across 56 schools and educational institutions all over Greece.
The screenings will take place between the 13th and the 29th of November and will be accompanied by a video greeting from Laura Nix, the director of the film. Select events will be presented by the Athens Science Festival, to be followed by extensive Q&As.

The film follows six young scientists from Indonesia, Hawaii, India and Mexico as they tackle some of the most complex environmental issues facing humanity today – right in their own backyards. Dedicated and determined, they all head to ISEF, the science fair of science fairs, awarding industrious teens the world over. Framed against the backdrop of severe environmental threats, this is an immersive journey into the planetary crisis, seen through the eyes of the generation that will inherit the earth.
