África 815

After a failed experiment deemed “project family”, Manuel returns to Africa looking for love, in a vain effort to recapture that elusive first time. More than 20 years later, his daughter, Pilar, born during his brief sojourn as a family man, takes a nosedive into the 60s at the Sahara desert (a Spanish colony at the time), a place that seems to have left an indelible mark on her father. What she discovers is a fleeting male paradise, where love blossomed among the sand, in an extremely personal and hauntingly sensual documentary without a trace of daughterly bitterness. Just love.
