Inventing Tomorrow

“Inventing Tomorrow” follows six young scientists from Indonesia, Hawaii, India and Mexico as they tackle some of the most complex environmental issues facing humanity today – right in their own backyards. 16-year-old Sahithi takes lake water samples in her native Bangalore to determine pollution levels, while a rowdy group of Mexican teenagers plot and plan a photocatalytic paint formula to fight air pollution in Monterrey. Petite Indonesian Nuha is hopping on tin mining rigs off the shore of Bangka that are literally poisoning the ocean, while Jared, in Hawaii, has discovered the soil’s arsenic levels have been exacerbated by the tsunamis. Dedicated and determined, they all head to ISEF, the science fair of science fairs, awarding industrious teens the world over. Framed against the backdrop of severe environmental threats, this is an immersive journey into the planetary crisis, seen through the eyes of the generation that will inherit the earth.
